Offside speed 6 smoking

Since I decatted my tuscan the offside exhaust is smoking far more than before... there was always a little puff from it (not oil I don't think) but now its a lot more. Especially when I stop at lights I get a bit of a cloud of it. With the roof off, I'm choking on the fumes.
Making this sound worse than it is, but its bad enough that you can see the cloud from the car in the mirror sometimes.
what's this ? is it needing tuned ? is it burning oil ? is it serious ?

yeh, as I say, not oil. not blue. just normal white exhaust smoke.. I've done the usual checks of hand in front of exhaust to check for oil visible and smell hand, etc. Definately just normal smoke from burning fuel.
like it's running rich that side.
I get a lot of backfires. not that audible with the cats in, but with them out, all the time on throttle off... which again leads me to thinking it's running rich through that 'side'.
so I'm figuring it's running rich on the offside... which would make sense on a v6/8.. but on a straight 6...

Is it definately smoke or could it be steam? In my last car I used to get steam most of the time from my exhaust - cause was a build-up of water in the back-box, which was evaporating as steam when the exhaust warmed up. More noticable on cold days, but it's definately there even on warmer days.
edited to add that the water in the back-box was collected during car-wash hosing, not cracked block!

erm. if it is the head gasket. And it's not done any other damage (cracked head, etc). What are we talking ? easy job or not ? I mean I'd have thought so... change gasket, etc. Or is this wishful thinking....
what the chances of any of this being covered by my warranty ?
My warranty states that the head gasket is covered but that cylinder head crack are not.
Is it reasonably obvious what the problem is when they get the head off ? Or are we talking weeks off the road at tvr power/blackpool.

right, I've just checked water level and it was fine. needed no water. And it's done 1000 miles since it last had any water.
So I don't see how it could be the head gasket.
unless I'm missing summit here.

Don't worry - the head gaskets on the S6 are bullet proof. Many cars have even had them see 5 figure mileages before failure
Seriously though, look at the threads in the Tuscan forums for warning about head gaskets. Ours has gone and we've been without the Tamora as a result for over 5 weeks so far.
Hopefully yours is fine, just best to be aware of the potential issues

My tamora overheated last year, and blew most of it's coolant out of the pressure relief valve - but the head gasket was pressure tested by HHC and it was fine - so don't despair yet - it isn't a big job to check the gasket - I had the fan relay replaced as well, and the total bill was only just over £120. Still the gasket will be a warranty item for you.
