I moved to Dubai in March this year and now im looking for a car, i've got a budget of around 100k AED for something with sub 6 sec 0-60mph, what would you recommend for such a hot climate?

I really like the idea of a 550i or is350 but I assume the servicing costs will be astronomical in comparison to a 330i?

I'm very open to anything with a 0-60 below the magic 6, be it an S2000, 350Z...etc.

Go for a/c efficacy and displacement volume. My money would go on a V8 Charger- you can get some good deals on used American cars there.

Is there any difference between the charger and the challenger as I much prefer the latter?

However i'm not a big fan of modern american cars in general, my preference is for Japanese and Euro brands.

Get yourself down to your local Chevy dealer. I believe you should be able to pick up a Caprice SS brand new for somewhere in the region of what you want to pay that will crack 60 in about 6 seconds, but will come with a warranty.

If that doesn't tickle your fancy, I should think there will be Camaros and Corvettes in your price range too.

-edit-

Sorry, took a long time to do that reply. American cars are great because the engines are relatively unstressed. Plus the fuel is cheap. when else are you going to be able to hoon a V8 at less than £2 a gallon?

The 550i has a big ol' V8 smile

Those yank cars are very cartoonesque, maybe I should test drive one before I make too many premature judgements.

BMW's don't have the best A/C and you'll be paying a premium for German 'quality'. Also it's going to get marked living there and you'll won't be in driving a 'class a' car unless you're going far higher end than BMW.

As that counts for fk all these days my cash would be on something with a large V8 from the USA.

Sorry it doesn't make much sense. Hard work on the phone.

BMW isn't 'premium' over there so fk the extra expense. Go for function. Buy something with a big fk off wasteful motherfking old school V8 that doesn't major on 'efficient dynamics' which mean fk all when fuel is less than 50p a litre.

By 'marked living there' I mean some in a Toyota or Mitsubishi is going to ding the fker when you park it up. smile
