Hi all.

I spent a very pleasant Monday morning with Dave down at Track Developments

He did a full alignment and corner weighting on my Sport and made a huge improvement. Very pleased and great value, just wish I had done it sooner...

No other connection other than being a satisfied customer !

What figures were used for the alignment?
Was it just set to the Factory settings or something different?

Toe in front: 2mm overall
Toe in rear: 4mm overall
Camber Front: 1 – 1.5mm neg
Camber rear: 0
Ride height front: 110mm
Ride Height rear: 150mm

from the build manual, checked with the factory and they confirmed they are still good..

Agree.

My front camber is now 0.75deg as with my wider front tyres 1.5deg was too much.

I needed to be able to adjust my front toe in as I replaced my rack. Made myself up a set of rods with ropes to check suspension. Once I had them it took me 20mins to adjust my tracking.

BTW. Each rotation of the top ball joint is 0.75 deg of camber so once you know what camber you have you can make changes knowing what effect you will have.

PS. Don't forget to re-adjust the tracking after you do the camber.

Manual was from 1997 so perhaps things have moved on a bit. The rears on a Sport are slightly narrower maybe that makes difference? I will keep an eye on tyre wear

I'm confused now.
My latest copy of the manual says toe is 2mm front and rear.
Also 160mm rear ride height.

Steve

EDIT...Just checked all the versions of the build manual back to 2007 and the figures have remained to same.

Wouldnt increased rear toe be normal as power levels elevated over time ? (without other design changes)

Always good to hear a positive recommendation, as wanted to suss some places that could set the Ultima up. Might get a quote for my Caterham in meantime wink
