Use of words in profile names ?

What's the official line on profile names?

For example, we can't use "" in text, but we can use it as a profile name?

I'm not picking on these users, it just struck me as curious when I saw their postings.

I can confirm that the 'C' word can be used in a profile name without censoring. It obviously results in a spell in the sin bin.

Don't ask I how I know this though.

Why? It was a valid question...? Also curious that the swear filter doesn't pick it up in profile names but does in posting text...

I think you'll find both of those members had their names long before that word was added to the filter.

First member Joined in 2006 second in 2000, IIRC the banned word was only put on the swear filter about a year ago.

So long standing members no action required.

But if you quote on of them their name does get censored in the quote.
