New job in East London, how to get there?
Discussion
Start a new job in Stratford, East London in a couple of weeks and could do with some advice on the best way to get there. Options I've considered so far are:
1] Train from Farnborough to Waterloo, tube to Stratford (high cost, £30+ a day?)
2] Drive to outskirts of London, tube in (parking a problem?, no real knowledge of best way to do this)
3] Drive to somewhere like Feltham or Esher, park up then train in (to get a cheaper weekly ticket?)
Any help is much appreciated

How much is it to park at Farnborough station now, about a tenner I'd guess? Also, when does the place get full up?

I cycle though.
Not quite on topic but how do you manage that type of commute day in day out, you must all have extremely well paid jobs to warrant it. My commute is around 20 minutes each way max on a bad day and our depot is moving shortly and it may go up to 30-45 minutes which to me is the end of the world. Big up to any of you that do that kind of distance each day.

I live in Guildford and drive to Woking, train into Waterloo then the Waterloo and city line to bank. Takes about 75 mims and is a breeze. Doing it for 5 years now and it just passes you by after a while. It's like being chauferred to work everyday
you'll probably get a seat most days too.

I think Farnborough - Waterloo - Stratford is the easiest, but I was hoping there would be a cheaper option. Quite like the Drive to Feltham then train in to save a few bob
The most expensive thing, is your time. When you are doing the same journey 240 times a year, go for quickest / easiest. There is no point trying to save £2 a day, IMHO of course
