Blackpool,
If we have a season like last year I'll be happy, although it would be nice to get automatic promotion, seen to many play-off campaigns.
We are definitely weaker up front with the lose of LuaLua, Bednar, and Ormerod. Also Kevin Phillips is carrying a thigh strain, although he has travelled with the squad today.
Players Out:
Lomana LuaLua - stunning on his good days, poor a lot of the time.
Roman Bednar - didn't really play much, but just as he looked to be coming good he got crocked in a bad challenge
Keith Southern - 10yrs of great service, but was struggling to fit into our more passing game.
Matt Hill - never really played
Brett Ormerod - club legend over his 2 stints with us. Never gave up on winning a ball.
Stephen Husband - who?, don't think he played a league game for us and never stood out from the crowd in reserve games.
Daniel Bogdanovic - never really played
Players In:
Isaiah Osbournne - Hibernian
Jake Caprice - released by Crystal Palace
Tiago Gomes - Hercules
Scott Robertson - Dundee Utd
Alberto Noguera - released from Atletico Madrid. Was with the squad in pre-season training trip to Portugal. Many of the players on twitter were very impressed by him.
James Caton - released by Bolton.
Adda Djeziri - strange one, Ollie had him on loan whilst at Leicester but never played him, he also went to Portsmouth and never played there. Stands 6ft6 so doesn't seem to fit into our small, fast, ball playing team that we now have.
Banvo Anderson - released by Paris-St Germain. Not signed yet, but is supposed to be.
Nouha Dicko - season long loan from Wigan. Made 11 league appearances and scored 4 goals for us last season whilst on loan to us.
I would like to think we are going to be getting a couple of strikers in (probably on loan).
Some strong teams and plenty of money in the Championship now.
Would think that the 3 that came down from the Prem will be up the top, although Blackburn could implode if they don't have a good start. Leicester are still spending, Forest have bought some good players, Cardiff will probably be up there again.
Edit to add the loan signing of Nouha Dicko.

Happy with the way our season has started. Believe it is our best start to a season for 50+ years!
Still suspect at the back against set pieces, but certainly cannot complain about our attacking capabilities.
Outstanding player so far : Can only be Tom Ince. Still needs to look up a bit more and sometimes pass a bit sooner. Seems to be getting double marked now, although that didn't work very well for Middlesbrough tonight.
Gomes and Osbournne are also catching the eye in midfield.
Got to wait till next Monday now for our next game, a home game against Huddersfield in front of the TV Cameras.

Being a bolton fan i love diouf, and wherever he goes he is always fan favourite.
Wasn't a fan when he signed him, but his performances have been winning me overDJRC said:
Russ...whats happened to us in the last cpl of games?
Was rocking along happy as Larry at the start to the season, but it seems to have gone a little pear shaped. Anything up?
Doubt we will be keeping Ince beyond this season
At the beginning of the season we defended very well. We now look like conceding from every corner/free kick into the box.Was rocking along happy as Larry at the start to the season, but it seems to have gone a little pear shaped. Anything up?

Not seen any highlights of the Cardiff game but the 2 home defeats (Huddersfield and Charlton) they closed us down very quick and also had their 2 forward players stay high up the pitch when Gilks got the ball, forcing him to have to kick the ball, instead of the preferred role it out to 1 of the back four and play from the back.

They will probably now find that our chairman is a very hard person to contact. He does not like business things being played out via the media which is something Holloway has also had a moan about in the past.If he goes good luck, as long as he leaves his number 2, Steve Thompson here.
Don't know to be honest. He's apparently been in the local press recently moaning about his contract (rolling 1 year). I gave in listening to his press conferences/after match interviews a long time ago.
Will be interesting to see what happens as he has said in multiple interviews that his biggest regret was to walk out on Plymouth to go to Leicester and that he wouldn't do it again. He's recently bought a house up this way after spending most of his time up here renting a place out near Burnley and most recently in Poulton.
He seems to have a love/hate relationship with our chairman, agrees with how he tries to run the club (ie, don't spend money we don't have etc), but that probably gets on his back when the club obviously has money from our premiership season and you see £11m of it transferred from the football club side of the company to another of the owners companies.
He has been allowed to bring in loads of players, many of them for our development squad, but I believe we have 38 contracts expiring at the end of the season! We have still not sorted out the training ground which with the exception of another wooden building, is the same as when Mathews and Mortensen were winning the FA Cup for us. The Chairman has been promising that we will get a new training ground for years, but nothing ever happens (it will end up being built on some of their farm land in Lytham, which will obviously be sold to the club).

Hopefully Steve Thompson will get the job. And hopefully will have a plan B for when a game isn't going our way.
would hope that we will get some more defenders In. We must have about 15 midfielders on the books and 6 players to cover the back line and a untried kid as second choice keeper.
