New number plate position on V12V

Have blocked out the last three digits - if the owner wants me to take it down, no problem.

Saw this posted on the Lotus forum, what's the consensus of putting the front number plate on the bumper like that? I sort of like it in an Alfa Romeo kind of way... But not sure. Opinions?

No. That doesn't work!!
It works on the Alfa due the grill but on an Aston there is a perfectly placed and usable space in the centre!!

Anyone put a stick-on plate on their bonnet? Seen modern Jags with it done, doesn't look to bad though it isn't legal...

ridiculous - the car actually looks worse than no plate

it's a bit different with the AR1 pictured - the plate there would have to go slap bang in the middle of the grille

some cars have a real problem from spoiling the lines with the plate but I think most current Astons are fine (plinth removed of course !)

If you're going to go that far as to have an illegal plate why not just go the whole hog and have no front plate. Plenty of Ferraris/Lambos etc get away with it, can't see why a V12V can't. Not that I'm condoning it, I still wouldn't.
