That dreaded little o ring
Discussion
Took the GT2 out today as weather good and has been a few weeks since the last good run.
The clutch peddle has been a little sticky on start up the last few weeks but it soon disappears as soon as you have changed gear a couple of times so just thought it needs a bit more use.
Out today usual sticky pedal for 30 seconds and then all well and then 20 miles later brake fluid light comes on followed by the clutch pedal flat to the floor - bugger !!
Opened the bonnet to see brake fluid resevoir empty
and all the fluid sat under the reservoir.
After a top up a drip drip drip coming from the hose from the clutch an of all things the 1p washer had perished. New washer in, leak stopped but once that clutch pedal is to the floor it stays there as bleed nipple right underneath on the gearbox and no way of sorting out unless on a ramp.
At least a cheap fix but those o rings are crap. !!
