cHANGING INDICATOR BULB ON FRONT
Discussion
If memory serves me right, the method of access is different, depending uopn which side has gone. I think you can reach the back of the off side fitting via the headlight access hatch under the o/s wheel arch. The nearside involves the removal of the mesh under the nose and access via a hole. I could be completely wrong of course. I have never changed an indicator bulb, but have done other work in that area, and come across the back of the indicator in the process.

Neither of these undoubtedly valid explanations sounds like my Griff (1996). On my car, you reach under the mouth and to the left and the right of the radiator are two small holes leading into the wings. There are two bronze/gold cylinders at the back of the indicators.
You will see that the bronze bit has a screw thread on the outside. Don't start looking for a large nut because there isn't one. The bronze bit is actually a cap over another bronze bit and the screw thread is used to join them together.
Basically, just grab the outside of the bronze bit and unscrew. You may find that it has been glassed together slightly with an over-application of fibreglass and you will have to chip off bits of fibreglass with a screndriver to get it to unscrew. You hands will be bleading by the time you have finished!
