Looking through business opportunities and came across this little number. I have no personal interest, but for £425,000, someone must be interested. Turnover of £115,000, so can't be doing too bad for it's self.
No link as I have no ownership of either the company or the website frown

You don't have to "own" the website to post a link to it.

I don't own Ebay for example but can link to itwobble

turnover of £115k means SFA.

Profit is the one you want.

£115k turnover sounds like close to bugger all to me. That's about 3 cars and some bits and pieces a year. It'd take you a long time to recoup £425k.

Indeed. But even if he somehow made £40k profit, its a 10X profit valuation and 3.5x turnover. High... unless the IP is really good.

That's if the IP is included. The phrase "Sole licensed builder and manufactures of the Brooke Car Range" would suggest the IP of the project lies elsewhere

obviously it wont be it will be something you need to find out once you have looked at the books.

After looking at the site... this has been on sale for quite some months as I swear it was on for £425k last year.

With a turnover like that, you couldn't even take a wage out of it. Do the cars build themselves?

Well at 3-4 a year it isn't going to be a full time job...?

If one man manages to build four cars from scratch, tests and develops the engineering, promotes the business, does the books, then that sounds like more than a full time job.

I'd suggest it is a vanity driven valuation.

Makes 20k profit a year. At that rate it would take you 22 years to make your investment back assuming you annually do the same amount of business year on year.
