Met a couple today who have 22 guinea pigs who live in their house - in a special 'housing complex' in a room of their own.

Can anyone beat 22?

Oh thats nothing, when i was a lady of leisure i had around 280 of the little darlings,
you have to remember that these are pedigree purebred animals bred to compete at top exhibitions.

I see the plan... every guinea pig in the competition is yours so you win all the prizes!

You see guinea pig, I see 'satay'...

Ha ha, I've never heard anything quite so bizarre! There was me thinking thewy were just things you stuck dots on and hang from the rear view mirror biggrin

What do they compete in? Straight line speed? Handling? Show jumping? Guinea Pig dressage?!

Where? When? I want to have a look. smile

Only 2 guineas here at the moment - Ayrton Senna and Rubens Barrichello. Unfortunately Nigel Mansell passed away from old age earlier this year. frown

here you go http://reallondonshow.co.uk/1801.html

each breed competes in its own set standard, some of the longhaired varieties have hair reaching over 20" long.
this web page shows you some of the many breeds that are available in the uk, even though the web site is aus. ENJOY!!!!smile
