Tyre Help

Evening all,

Currently running Mich PS3's and while they are a truly brilliant tyre, IMO, they offer virtually no rim protection at all.

So, what i am after is something good with a bit of rim protection (for when the wife drives).

Is that do-able?

Any suggestions much appreciated!

I did think of that but i think i would have to go to a 50 profile to do that?

Try some rim blades.

Continentals are usually pretty generous in their rim protection.

What's the size? Michelin might make a FP version of your tyre (amusingly FP stands for flange protection)

I've got continentals on the back of mine, which were on the front for the past 13 months.
I hit a kerb and if it weren't for the rim protector the tyre would have blew out I'd have thought.
No complaints from the tyre too in terms of wear rate and grip.

Never seen FP but michelin do a ZP version which is their run flat line...

Ah sorry, forgot to mention the size

At the moment they are factory spec 245/55 18.

Yer maths ain't good chap

Sidewall height is a percentage value of the width

Go up on th width and down on the profile and keep the roling radius the same and the sidewall height is same
