I have 35K equity in my house and have 80K remaining on the Mortgage. I am currently paying just 2.5% due to been on the svr and the base rate been low. I would like to borrow an extra 6K using my current deal. I do not want to re-mortgage. Is it possible to borrow the extra on the current deal?

Thanks

You can't normally borrow on the same terms (assuming you haven't just taken out the mortgage when the product you're on may still be on offer) unless you have one of the offset mortgages.

They'd normally want you to take out an additional product at the rates they are currently offering, with the associated fees.
