Guys, my view of TVR has always been one of unreliability, dodgy electrics etc. I'm looking for a weekend toy, am I setting myself up for grief with something like this?

If that's the sort of money your looking to spend, then I would go for one with a rebuild if possible. Even though it's a later car you can still get problems. Also low mileage isnt always better than one that's seen more of the road. You could also look at a mark 2 for near that price, which in my opinion/experience has a bit better build quality and handling.
thats a lora lora mulars
a tuscan is no different from any other car they just have a bad rep from the rebuilds
i wont get into the rebuild conversation but im sure if you look into that you will find its not like its made out to be
they have minor issues from time to time, window might play up, rear screen might pop out but these issues happen to other cars aswell, generally i'd say unless you have bought a brand new car expect a little bit of yearly servicing even if its new its still needed but you dont think of it the same as warrenty will take care of it
a example would be a friend of mine bought a very nice rs5 8 week ago but has spent the last few weeks driving a r8 as audi are fixing a issue
just go through the buying list with a fine tooth comb be happy with your final choice and dont worry about it, eventually its going to the garage for a bit of fixing but so is your other car but because its more exspensive it will be a bit more annoying
you will have the same problems buying any 2000-2006 supercar ferrari aston lambo porsche
but you always wanted a tuscan
and just looked at the garage surely ducati and caterham are nearly the same
dream garage- ducati mv agusta, tuscan sagaris, lambo, a van for work and push iron to convince myself i exercise
