Roof rack carrier?

My wife and I are looking to be able to take our road bikes away while towing our trailer tent. As a result I think we need to ahve a roof rack carrier rather than a towbar one or something like the Saris Bones.
Does anyone have any experience with the Thule carriers http://www.thule.com/en/GB/Products/Bike-Carriers/... ? They look OK to me but I have no idea what actually matters (other than bike not falling off ...)

Yup, I have the thule 591 with thule aero bars. It seems to be pretty well thought out and quite sturdy, rated to about 80mph I think?
The crash test film gives me a bit more confidence in using it as well.

Got 4 Thule 591's that we use for our bikes along with Thule Slide Bars.. Excellent set up.. Look no further!
The 591 cycle carriers are, as has been said above, really sturdy, hold the bikes really well.. And are fully adjustable to cope with kids bikes too.
Good customer services at Thule Uk too, I can't fault any of it.

I use two 591s for the kids 24" wheel bikes and two Outride (fork mount) for the adult bikes. I bungee the front wheels to the frame rather than use a wheel carrier as I have no space on the roof (Audi TT!)
Tricky to set the four of them up on the bars to start with, but once everything is in place I can get the bike on in 5 minutes. I keep the whole kit bolted to the bars and take the assembly off as one for storage.
I don't go above about 70 with them on as the noise is unbearable, and it slaughters the fuel consumption, but nothing has come off yet even in gales and driving rain.
Protect the roof with decent tape to avoid fretting marks.
