Tour of Britain 2012 - Wiggins to ride

It starts three weeks today. Wiggins is confirmed to ride so I reckon there'll be a lot more interest than in the past. I'll be watching on Gun Hill again

will try to catch them twice on the barnstaple to dartmouth stage. probably somewhere near okehampton then near the finish.... I'll be easy to spot.....

There's a sprint along Slapton Sands. Should be a good place to watch.

Finish of that stage will be tricky too: down the big hill into Dartmouth then hard right along the dock front.

The London Olympic open-top bus thingy is on the day after the Tour starts, will he show his face there too?

I like it quiet - we get too many 'grockles' on Cannock Chase as it is. I'll be complaining if/when ther re-open it.

they normally close the road about 30 minutes in advance, its a rolling blockade most often, just hundreds of motorbike out riders ahead blocking off the junctions. the stage guides will be up online soon with the timings for pretty much each junction which is worth downloading. its usually hidden in the press section
