clear rear lights on db9

Can i change the rear lights on my 2005 DB9 to the clear more recent ones? How much will it cost?

IMHO an upgrade that brings the car up to date.

I like the look of the clear lights on dark coloured cars like Tarks, but think the original red lights look much better on light colour cars.

I won't be changing my red lights.

I like the clear one's on my 2005 V8V. and it was a bonus as I did not even know they were a retrofit when I bought it.

I'd take a permananet mrker to those reflectors! Or a bit of insulation tape..?

It seems you've just not washed your car so you can't see the reflectors in that picture above! Luckily the position of them on the DB9 isn't as obvious as the V8V so you can get away without changing them

A bit of alternative thinking ...if we weren't so used to cars having red back lights, who would ever choose to have two big lumps of red plastic on the back of their car? Next to a big reflective yellow plate

Unless the car is red, then red lights are just ugly

Yup - don't worry about it Adrian, it's a running 'issue' on the forum. One chap actually coloured them to suit, bearing in mind that they must be altered back to red for MOT purposes.

Ignore it, your rear looks fine (in a platonic way) and you would be better dropping Tony Hall a PM for personalised sill plaques if you wanted to do a minor alteration

Vantages do, yes. DB9s, as George alludes to, have them hidden a bit lower down which helps. Mine are also too dirty to be seen as red, though to be fair I was on the way back from Monaco and had stopped for a glass of plonk in Epernay. George's car is on his parent's driveway, where it stays

I presume you mean me when you say Geroge. My parent's driveway is in the south of Spain, and an underground car park in KL technically

It's actually done quite a few miles recently. Went to pick someone up from Manchester airport in it on Saturday so that was over 100 miles. So there

I actually have a Polo with a popped tyre (and 2 nearly bald ones) sat on the drive... hopefully my new tyres should be here tomorrow so I can get them changed. Trying the Vredestien's that were recommended on another thread

I'm a fan of the clears on most of the colours, though I think the red ones look better on Toro etc
