A few pictures I took of an Exige crash today. The driver walked away and appeared ok, not sure the same could be said for the car though!

Which hillclimb is that? It looks like it might be the same corner that caught out a Caterham driver last month resulting in a spectacular crash (he walked away too).

Ouch. Was the Loton or Shelsley? or elsewhere

It was Shelsley and strangely enough the Caterham crash pictures were taken by my uncle!
Was that an motorsport Elise or Exige??

Thanks for posting those photos, I only heard the accident as I was standing between the Esses at the top of the hill.

Notably quick reactions from the flag marshal at the crossing, the red flag is out while the car is mid roll!

Ouch, its such a narrow track, I have walked the course several times, but it takes a bit more courage than I have, to drive it at speed.
Glad everyone was OK, hope the Lotus can be re-built, like the Caterham a few months ago.

I was in the holding paddock, waiting to do my second run, when I saw this car being brought back into the paddock on a trailer, wheels hanging off, and looking pretty bashed up. It had rained in the morning for a number of class runs, but my first run was in pouring rain, which is always a leveller.

The accident happened on the second timed run early afternoon , and the track was dry in places, and wet in others, hence the accident IMHO.

Eek. Never nice to see a lovely Exige or Motorsport Elise smashed up. Hope the driver is OK, the car will get fixed up I'm sure.

Excellent set of photos graememac, as no one has mentioned on here yet. Good work catching the whole painful episode!

Cheers Mike. Obviously being a motorsport forum all the posts have been about whether the car and driver were ok. Rightly so!

Hi Folks,

Briilliant pictures! (Anyone got it on Video?)

I was driving the car on Sunday... And I simply 'over committed'!

The car will be back... And I'll take this opportunity to make it even better :-)

Cheers for all your comments...

Chris
