ROOF WOES - CONTINUED

I need to replace the roof on the Wifes 2004 cooper - has anyone access to a decent diagram showing the roof components and how its attached to the car please.
General Moan:- why is it the management system needs a re-set for such mundane problems like a roof fault - its hardly life threatening - is there any other way to reset the roof without a dealer (or other) plugging it into a laptop ?
