I'm not an owner but I followed a nice yellow 04 reg Ultima along the M40 yesterday. It was displaying a nice PH bumper sticker (need to get one of those myself).

The owner should remember me - I was driving a chuffing great black and white Yank cop car and I was drooling heavily as I looked over when we drove alongside each other.

That was me.
Think I made out that it was a Chevy. Thought at the time that we shared the same engine if nothing else.
Is it genuine or in the style of a Chicago cop cruiser?

Was returning home to Portsmouth from the Ultima factory open day. Thankfully had left most of the rain behind from there and enjoyed a spirited drive home.

I was returning from the American Auto Club International "All Clubs" show.

It's a genuine ex-Arkansas Chevy Caprice, but currently in San Diego livery. I imported it in 2002 but had to fit it out with all the kit.

It is a '92 so it has the TBI 350 and not the Corvette LT1 which was used in the 94-96 model and was the Impala SS.

Hey Gareth
We had a little chuckle as we passed you (White Escort Cosworth) on the M1, just after the accident.......a big Yank cop car towing a caravan
Do you get pulled by the BiB when you're driving around, for a look see?

Didn't have a van on the back when I saw him.
Was I missing something or was he?

That was probably Bill and Tracey, on their way back to Essex - they have a 70's Plymouth Gran Fury.

We had about five US cop cars at the event. Last year we managed to get about 12 together - possibly the most ever!

Gareth, I have a '96 Impala SS. Check out my Website... www.ihp.com And check out the local "B-Body" club... www.regionofdoom.com for lots of good info. We just had our biggest national event in Vegas. Some 500 cars (94-96 waggons and sedans) got together for a week-long event of racing and shows. Let me/us know if you have any questions about the Impala/COPrice. Our group of folks are very helpful and willing to chip in with excellent advice on mods and sources for parts, etc...
