More fame for Pugly...and Mollys first spot of fame!!

Well a couple of weeks back Peugeot PR got in contact with me asking if I would be happy to let the BBC Top Gear team use my 205 for some filming....ok I said but it has to be fully insured and you will pay out if it gets damaged....no problem they said!
at the end of the 205 conversation I get asked....
PUG UK: "you dont know anyone with a 405 MI16 do you??"
ME: "yes i do has it happens....ME!"
PUG UK: "great can they use that too??"
ME: "of course....its not the best runner though"
PUG UK: "Thats ok its just going to be for static filming"
ME: "S**t I hope it hasnt disolved its been under a cover at my mum and dads since May!!"
Anyhow long story short...spent the weekend prepping and detailing both cars.
Here they are...I am sure you will all recognise Pugly....And Molly well here she is....all 208k miles covered on the original engine and box (due a full rebuild this winter)
My 2 girls covered up all ready
My mate who kindly stored them in his yard for me all weekend and stood in for me today for the the collection by Peugeot UK today....I dont think he expected the trnasporter to be quite so big!!!
Anyhow he sent me these photos....
Pugly and Molly getting the VIP Transporter treatment....well they are famous now i expect they will be getting the finest Optimax and Mobil one oil to dine on tonight

Yeah its for Clarkson's DVD that should be out for Christmas.
I am going up to the filming location tomorrow PM and being there for the filming on the Wednesday.
Production company are putting me up in a hotel etc which is kind....Pug are paying for the transportation....Win win for me might even get to meet the big fella too.

That's really cool, i'm pleased for you but also hate you, why couldn't they use mine :b sure, mine has no brakes at the moment but its not the point.I am going up to the filming location tomorrow PM and being there for the filming on the Wednesday.

405 is static filming and 205 will be out being driven in anger....oh and might be demonstrating the lift off oversteer....not that I would know anything about that...nope not me! i cant wait

Hmmm might hold off selling mine for a bit and wait for the prices to bump up after clarkson mentions them.....s3fella said:
It's quite sad that Peugeot uk don't have their own 205gti being cosset toted somewhere.
They sold off the heritage feet some time ago....they rely on members of Club Peugeot UK for needs like this....was the same for the AutoExpress Top 20 Hot Hatches article that Pugly was in....same story, I think Peugeot will be keeping me at the top of the pile now shalmaneser said:

Hold off for a good while there are only a very few left....will soon become very rare...I was going to strip Molly over the winter, get a tuned GTI6 engine and box in there and turn it into a touring car rep.When I did research and found out that there were only 100 and something left std engine rebuild and full resto like pugly got.
