My last mini... didn't end well (lesson learnt)
New one when I got it:
on a photo adventure (Vmax... It only did 104mph GPS!)
decided I needed stripes..
Never got round to putting the stripes over the roof, but did get round to doing some test shots of it
or on the back
Hated the wheels ever since I got the car, so put some 17" ones on it today with non run flats... much better!
And a quick chopshop to see what it would look like lower... I rather like it!
Tomorrow the stripes come off, it's getting detailed and then I think I'll put white stripes on it and then debate whether to lower it or not... Oh, and I think white wing mirrors again...

I could insure a Cooper S now if I wanted, insurance isn't that bad tbh
Fair enough's at least you walked away from it must have been fairy big to right off a 3 year old mini :/
Most people crash their first car I crashed my mini 2 months after passing been fine for nearly 3 years now though
And oh surprises me you opted for a cooper then and not something with a bit more poke as they seem to be priced similarly and the r56 cooper s are not meant to be too bad on fuel.

You would probably be better sticking with what you have got now, I cannot imagine the MPG on the Cooper S is that good compared to the 1.4. Not wishing to be a bore but from a practical point of view you must rack up quite a few miles so MPG must be a consideration.
Getting a blue Cooper Diesel in march I think, get more power, lots more torque and better MPG too. Made it easier to justify buying the wheels when I can put them on my next car toogreggy50 said:

It's a Mini One, not a cooper. We bought it really quickly after the crash as I needed a car to do my work and had some big jobs on at the time. So we just bought as similar to the other car as possible at the time. Cooper S isn't too bad on fuel, but I get 15-20mpg better than my mate with a cooper S (I get 45mpg)

The specs on the Diesel Cooper are epic. Free tax 0-60 in less than 10 seconds and ridiculous MPG. I am not sure I could own a Diesel mini though, it doesn't seem right having on oil burner over a revvy petrol lump. I have however never driven the diesel therefore not in a position to compare the two.
