500 Wiper Problem
Discussion
I may be on the wrong track here but the wiper park switch has all sorts of connections in to it so maybe that is something to do with it? Replacement ones are reasonably priced on ebay (search for wiper park switch and the one you want is the Lucas one which is also fitted to various land rovers). The switch is underneath the wiper motor under the bonnet (easily replaced by undoing the 2 bolts holding the clamp down and then swivelling the motor up and sliding the switch off the motor- note the position of the various connectors before you take them off) and can get wet inside it so could be the problem. Others will have some ideas as well.
