Water in rear spoiler !!!

I have water in my rear turbo spoiler on a 993. I have been told to drill a hole !!!! Can someone confirm if this is right and if so where ? The lowest point available will drain inside the engine bay and not down the water channels either side. I am sure this cannot be right. Any one else have water in their spoiler and if so how do you cure it ?
