I'm planning to put the factory supplied 1980's Blaupunkt cassette radio back into my 3.2 Carrera, to replace a Kenwood CD radio, as I want the car back to original and to allow me to use an iPod via a cassette adapter

Just wondered if anyone has their original Blaupunkt cassette radio in their car and found a clever way to incorporate an iPod connection/lead rather than having a wire trailing out of the cassette slot?

A little over the top perhaps but have you thought about installing a parrot kit, it would enable you to plug in various options and give you in car blue tooth?

I have not used one, but they seem to get reasonable reviews:

The Parrot is interesting but probably another gadget i'll lose or forget

I've tried an FM transmitter device and found it a little unreliable and bought a cassette adapter, which is fine, but was hoping to find a clever way to hardwire in a discrete lead
