Hello
I currently own a Renault Clio 172
Anyway it has started spluttering at lower revs say up to around 3k when I put my foot down
Any idea what this could be spark plugs perhaps?
Once I get going it is fine in the upper rev range but want to get it sorted as its a pain in the arse frown

The solution to this interests me too, I'm suffering a similar issue at the moment.

I'm going to change plugs and leads soon, in an effort to get rid of the problem.

My guess one of the coilpacks is braking down.

Most people on my facebook has said either coil packs or spark plugs
Will change the plugs at the weekend as not a 5min on a clio have to take the whole inlet off for one and about 8 wires just to get to the fkers.
If not will take it to my mates garage as presume will either be a coil pack or an o2 sensor then
Car is still driveable at least and it clears up fine between 2.5 - 3k revs and seems normal again

I wrote a lot of answers on post it notes and threw them in the air, the one that landed face up said that the fault was 'dead rodent inside air filter'

Hope that helps smile

As said above it sounds exactly like your coil packs are on the way out. Get the car towed/trailered to the garage and get them changed. If they go when you are driving it will be an expensive fix.

Have you had a diagnostic done? Might be worth seeing if there is a smoking gun, before chucking money at lots of new parts?

Fixed the problem tried the coil-pack did nothing.

Took the intake off and checked the plugs they were the wrong type and just pretty fked put the correct NGK platnum plugs in £36 for 4! and now it runs sweet as a nut and has that lovely 5k kick again smile
