This is one job that took longer than expected but my bonnet has now been reunited with the body. Getting the bonnet to fit properly was a real pain and I had to buy a die to lengthen the threads on the bonnet hinges to ensure a good fit. So if anybody is in the same predicament and you want to borrow a 1/2" unf die then you are always welcome to borrow mine.

Yes - it's starting to look a bit like your car!

Hmm, very nice. Not a job I am looking forward to as I have no hinge piece, the bonnet frame is rusted to nothing and the slots are yet to be drilled in the plate. Too much room for SNAFU smile

Seen these?

Yes I saw that nice side vent but I'm looking for one side slat to add to the five I already have for my S2. I believe the zephyr/zodiac vent was fitted to the later cars. I'm sure the slats shouldn't be too difficult to make for somebody with a bit of sheet metal skill - that counts me out!
