Any car or no car?
Discussion
Hi all,
Another long day of pondering in the lorry has had me thinking. Prompted by a recent 'Shed of the Week' thread where someone posted something like this:
“You would have to pay me £xxx to drive that”
Is there really a car out there that would make any self respecting PH'er choose to have no car instead of any car?
Sure, there are plenty of cars I do not like and would rather not drive, luckily I have the choice though. But after thinking about it all day I really can not think of any car, ever, that would make me choose not to have a car at all.

Toyota Carina E c.1997. I'd rather be fisted by Mike Tyson.
Well somebody likes them...1994 (M reg)Saloon74,000 milesAutomatic2.0LPetrolTAX AND TESTED, ALL PREVIOUS MOTS, WARRANTED LOW MILEAGE! !! The Carina is the family car that does a good job of pleasing the driver. This particular 94 Carina Executive is showing 74,000 miles which is guaranteed, with just 2 Owners both husband and wife. The Carina pulls off the trick of being a practical family car. The big thing about this car ofcourse is that is the Executive Automatic Saloon, which means a very high level of equipment on top it?s design strengths. To drive, the engine is a strong, smooth and willing companion and is remarkably quiet and rattle free, the gearchange positive, the ride excellent with no rattles. In terms of condition, it is rated by us as Excellent on the inside and Good on the outside. For such a large family car, the Carina has always been an attractive car to drive, this is no exception- the 2.0Litre engine is happy and willing to rev. It has always been the Drive that they have been praised for and this is no exception, the car always feels in control. Refinement is good with no annoying rattles and with the lovely seats long journeys are likely to be painless. The engine is quiet, smooth and responsive and at this price and with this specification, it is a lot of car for the money!!! Keep smiling everyone!!!

I enjoy driving, so I'd rather have a car than no car. Even if the car in question is crap to drive, it's still possible to have fun in it, and go to interesting places.
This, I could live without a car but even if it had to be a total shed to get me away from town on a weekend I'd own/drive something.Codswallop said:

+1Although if I had a choice between no car and this in this colour

I might just have to attack it with a few of these
