Got round to sticking them online.

Follow the link from here:

Hopefully useful to others who fancy doing something similar.

That's a neat way of getting some reasonable speakers in the front. I might have to try something similar.

1) probably about 30 hours. But I was taking my time
and if you had someone to help with stuff like removing seats, feeding wiring in, etc it would be quicker.

2) not on your nelly! one was enough !

I like the idea of using the cardboard tubes to mount the front speakers. I have been pondering this problem for a while now.

Good job.

the original plan was to use pc speakers: get a set of cheap pc speakers that have nice enclosures that are big enough to fit the infinity 3.5 in speakers in.

Rip crappy speakers out, fit infinitys in.

But I couldn't find a set of pc speakers in comet/pc world that were just the right size/shape/look.

If I'd had more time I would have got a set from somewhere like ebuyer (www.ebuyer.com) who have a far bigger range. Again, just get a set for a tenner, and fit the infinities in them.

That might look a bit more professional, but for now it's ideal.

Great post Powerlord - I spoke to one dealership recently and they quoted me over a K for a far inferior Pioneer setup. I'll use your info and get a decent independant to set it up. Great info
