Kerbed wheel

I've just spotted that I've kerbed the offside front wheel sometime this weekend

Can you repair diamond turned surfaces? Any idea on rough cost too?

Might I suggest you stick to driving on the left..... Then your offside wheels will be well away from the CURB

I had the diamond cut alloys on my golf refurbed by a company called Rimtec in Milton Keynes. Cost me 70 a wheel.

George in excessive mileage horror!

You can refinish diamond cuts twice max as they need to recut it.
It is not cheap and needs to be done by someone who knows what he is doing Lepsons are well thought of

Call me stupid, but isn't that a nearside front. Or are your callipers on the leading edge of the hub body?
That would at least explain a bit more how you kerbed it!

That's not too bad, I was expecting it to be silly money. I'll try to find someone nearer me to do it though.

Have a look on craigslist there are some sportspack ones on there that I think I understood were well kosher.

They are well thought of and do a courier service, some times quality is inconvenient

I thought I heard something on Saturday when I was rushing at the airport because the parking attendant was whinging at me pulling up on double yellows. Forgot about it until today when I spotted it.

I don't have a spare wheel to stick on the Aston though, and I'm not entirely comfortable leaving it outside on axle stands whilst the wheels get done. Powder coating looks good (if it's in silver) and is more durable, but I like the diamond turned finish more than monotonal wheels

Powder coating is more durable, but still doesn't stand a chance against a kurb

Wicked Wheels done my Nismo Rays a few years back - I honestly thought I'd killed it and just phoned the dealer to order a new wheel: couldn't bear to look! He talked me into letting these guys have a go and was astonished at the result. About eighty quid, if I recall. They're a franchise, so may depend on who you get, but they come to you, so maybe worth a go.

I'll have a look, thanks. I'd be a little reluctant using a company called 'Wicked' anything though, it doesn't conjurer up an image of a professional company to be honest! I'll see what the reviews are like on the local franchise
