Need to drive into london (hammersmith) for a meeting at 10:30 tomorrow morning. Will be travelling down the M4 from Readingish.

How long can i get away with, as i really need to go into the office first- which doesn't open til 8.

Being early for the meeting would be very helpful.

easily possible in rush hour, or not a chance in hell?

I've only done it a couple of times. I think the queue starts around Heathrow. Investigate public transport options as a matter of urgency.

I tend to be at the Bracknell junction londonbound at about 9:20 and it's pretty common that the traffic is queuing just a little further down the M4. it's a bit better at the moment because of the school holidays but if you're not going to be leaving Reading until 8:15 - 8:30 ish you're basically pretty likely to be screwed unless you're on a bike.

I'd get the train.

Nice one, the gods of the M4 were smiling on you, wish they'd do the same for me more often laugh
