Just lost the track day cherry

What can I say - for those who have yet to have taken their elise (or any other car) onto the track for the day - do it now.

Spent last Saturday at the Hethel test track with about 30 other elises, caterhams, exiges, one esprit and a 355 (this guy came all the way from Italy to buy an elise, and spent most of the morning watching italy on the telly).

Wheeltorque organisaed the event - the rain never came - and it was just the best grin I have had, well ever with my kit on.

In addition to being totally amazed by fast laps with ex Lotus F1 driver Martin Donelly - you get to appreciate how impossible it is to experience the true nature of the elise on the road. I have also now lost all desire for that 355, knowing that fun on the track can be provided by cars such as the elise for a fraction of the price. This is why (some) racing drivers pootle about in crap cars off the track as there is not contest.
