Just thought I'd start some banter.....
I was asked for some comments on my Trumpet.
Any comments!

My black 1999 speed triple 955i was my first bike.

Mods include:-

Öhlis replacement front springs.
Carbon High line Triumph can.
Seat Hump.

Future mods:-

Öhlins rear shock....... but its 650 quid!

I have owned and riden several other bikes since then but I have never sold it and have no intension of ever doing so.

Other bikes owned:-

ZX12R's.............I had 2 but I can't remember why.
RSV Mille R .......still got it ........ bloody fantastic bike.
SV 650 S ..............For the bird.

1. The road presence is amazing even now when I ride it in europe I have people coming and talking to me about just how great it looks and sounds.

2. Round the outside of a 748 Senna at Rockingham.............Laugh or what..........he was really pissed off!

3. Brilliant road manners. It has the suspension and power to keep up with anybody on the road unless they are in the jail zone of speeding and you have the visibility to see around traffic and over hedges which enables you to go faster, safer than a typical sports bike.

4. Racing friend of mine summed it up after an hour on each others bikes.

"It makes you ride like a complete hooligan, it's just so much fun"

5. True Brit grit.

I could go on all day, it's a british blokes bike, you never see a wimp on a speed triple and I've had a few people say it's just too much but that's the beauty of it. It's mad and so you have to be to own one.

You weren't asked by Ben from Visordown were you? I was asked but have a T300 version and love it to bits. With the right cans on they sound absoutely brilliant.

No it was from MCN when they did a spread on it some time ago.

They do sound great, don't they. I was enjoying a spirited ride along side a 'blade a couple of years back, down the A6 from the lakes. We stopped at some traffic lights and he starts shouting at me. So I get a bit
and say back "You what"
He replies "Your bike it sounds great" he replies.

Well chuffed I hadn't had it that long I think I smiled for a week.

Thumbs up for the Triple dude.... I have a bit of a soft spot for them - when Triumph re-launched a few years ago they (& General Guarantee Finance) ploughed a heap of money into the single make race series that really put them back on the map.
I bought Marra Brown's ex race bike at the end of the 3rd season (it came second!) & really loved it - it got heaps of attention as it was barely road legal & very loud!!.... which was good - they crash well too (apart from the radiator) .
