Kent fast road cams for S3
Discussion
I know of two S3's with a Kent fast road in them, both Kent V6T45 'Sports Injection' cams.
No remapping required, as the ECU is able to make it's own mind up, all you are doing is changing the rate of accelleration and volume of air flowed, both of which are measured by the ECU anyway.
I noticed some difference on one engine, that had had the heads ported and polished and the plenum opened out a bit, along with the tatty exhaust manifold welding cleaned up to actually let the gas out!
On a rolling road, went from 179 to 199 BHP max, and a little more torque.
If you go for the wilder Kent cam - V6T46, you can lose torque with the power gain.
Give it a whirl, I think the cam costs about 140 squids.
