Fall from scaffold stops me getting my GTR
Discussion
Completely gutted! Finance papers finally through for signing and deposit down on my lovely Nissan GTR. A fall from scaffold at work has left me with 16 stitches in my right leg and an infection which has made matters much more serious. No work or driving for at least 6 weeks so now looks like no GTR
Fortunately I hadn't signed the finance documents but after explaining my plight to the dealership with the GTR they seem completely unsympathetic to the point where I always have to leave messages and nobody gets back to me. Looks as though I won't see any of my grand deposit that I put down to secure. Glad I didn't put all the deposit on now! Not bad for them as the car was only off sale for a week. GUTTED!!

GUTTED!!Really not being a dick here, but if your financial situation isn't comfortable enough to easily absorb a period out of work like the situation you're in, you should not be throwing down £70K on a sports car in the first place!

Was just a verbal agreement over the phone. Just put a small deposit down and was planning on putting the rest down upon viewing the car. Used my credit card to make the transaction but have received no receipt as of yet.
If you didn't get a receipt, and you didn't get given any form of contract (even a simple trader invoice with "£1000 paid as nonrefundable deposit" on it, I'd talk to you credit card company as these 2 factors alone might be in breach of their merchant agreement. You aren't supposed to just debit cards and not give receipts...Andy G74 said:
How is this situation in any way a blessing? I have money for a rainy day but not to this extent. I wouldn't be financed up the hilt on the car but it just doesn't seem a good idea to to take up finance on anything at this present moment.
So you have some contingency, but not enough to cover 6 weeks? You should have 6 months in my opinion, this is the general concensus I beleive?
You must be bats
t fekkin mental to take on a debt of this kind in this case (Depreciating asset with no fallback.)Get well soon.
