We Buy Any Car
Discussion
I got offered £105 for my lovely low mileage A4 with a years tax and test, last year, plus if they find any stonechip or scratch they will knock you down a bit more.
Plus there's an admin fee plus another fee for the money to go into your account the next day, so in my case I would owe them money for my car lol.
I think I may keep it for a few more Years, especially as it just sailed through another mot again the other day lol.

I think a lot of people use them, a lot of people get low offers, or don't declare damage properly or have unrealistic ideas, or wbac don't want the car, so a lot of people post bad reviews. You do occasionally get the good report on them though.
And having used them recently, I found them fine. Got a few hundred knocked off the offer price (£24k) because of paint marks at the front and it needing a service which I expected. The price was pretty much what a dealer would give me but it was a bit more convenient. I wasn't made to wait around for ages and the person who sorted it for me was nice. The amount paid was within £400 of a Glass.co.uk Excellent condition Trade in valuation and the car wasn't really in excellent condition.
Having said that, I haven't got the money in my account yet... So I might be back to update this thread that I got ripped off!
I tried Autotrader Quick sale (The new free service for posting car details to dealers) and didn't get any interest, although my photos weren't good. I thought about trying Sure-sell but was put off by the high fees and the car possibly being taken away and possibly damaged or sold cheap to a mate of the auctioneer.
Also considered Dealerbid but couldn't find many testimonials apart from convenient "1 Post" copy and paste jobs saying how good they were on various forums.

I sold an A4 to them years ago. Initial valuation was around retail price. £8350 IIRC. I would have struggled to get £8000 privately.
After evaluation they offered me £7600. Having noticed the distinctly noisy turbo.
Thumbs up from me. Although if it isn't their normal type of stock they will value accordingly.

I've had fair valuations from them in the past, just as a bit of teaser, all damage/service history listed correctly etc.
I suspect that people who get ridiculously low offers, are trying to offload very unpopular models, hence forth the low offer is to put you off because they really don't want the car.

If its "specialist", modified, or old they will give you a buttons valuation. Thats not what they are interested in.
If you have the kind of late registration, everyday car you would expect to find in a car supermarket (where a lot of they're cars end up, IIRC) then they are OK to deal with.

Don't know if still true but 'we will buy your car' offer higher money and can eventually be persuaded into sticking to it, as it costs them to send the driver to inspect and pick up your car.
Also this is the only other company I know of which isn't actually 'we buy any car' under a different name (I believe there's a few they use).
