Castle Coombe 11/9
Discussion
All changed as now in 15 minute sessions, £25 in advance. When you phone they ask which times you want, with tickets sent out with agreed times printed on them.
I think you can still run on the day but now £30. Pre-booking is to cut down on queues.
Prices going up each year!

I went on an action day in May here at C/C. in my Griff 500. Turned up on day (late I thought) 11am as England was playing Australia at Rugby (what a waste of time that was!) anyway
needn't have worried, lots of availability for lots of sessions.
Noise limit then was 100db at 4000revs at 1 metre. I'd had Peninsular beef-up my exhaust so I was a bit sweaty palms when it came to noise testing....
Shouldn't have worried- the old girl purr'd to only 96db, so unless you've got some bonkers exhaust (cerbie sports cans) you'll be fine.
Parade lap was done then but led round at a safe speed.. where's the fun in that??
Got hairy with so many cars on track at one time, but awsome fun out gunning some of 'the Lads' in their Max Power'd machines!!
(VW owners club day- but all kinds of stuff was on track- fastest was probaby an orange 968CS and an M3csl both beautifully driven. Only saw one other TVR there that day- a Chimp)
I personally wouldn't do it if its wet...not because of yourself of course but
some nutters slide all over the place even in the dry!
have fun!

Thats what I am worried about, as I have the Peninsula sports system. I have got some merlin cans to put on but they didn't seem to do much. Only taking the edge off, I shall see on the day.
My father gets different sound readings every time he attends Castle Coombe (Griff 500), anything from 96 - 99 db with the standard exhaust!

slikk...no way, i've had similar done.(unless you have standard manifolds cats etc )
stephenson...you'll be fine. piped 500 with pre-cats out runs around 96-98db, so if you have the bolt on silencers you'll be down at 93-94ish.
try without first.
mine is completely sorted and runs 128db
no way at c/c with TWO bolt on silencers per pipe!! still 110db!
worth it tho
