Chimaera 500 question

could any one help please?I am not sure about the button weve found positioned just in front of the ignition lock its a definate in or out circular switch not a boot release or dash light switch,there is a click coming from ECU area when you press it ,ive had several of these cars and not seen this button before on a Chimaera,is anybody aware of its definitive function please??

Dim the guage lights !or fan over run

Fan overide switch? That's where mine is.

Also had a random button in my old Griff that turned on/off the automatic window raise feature when you locked the car.
