Brit GP - best stand

Can anyone advise the best stand to watch the GP from at Silverstone next year. I'm taking my daughter to her first one & want to give her the chance to appreciate it all. TV screen in front of the stand is a must.

Any guidance is much appreciated

I usually book tickets for the Becketts grandstand. Great to see the speed the cars are capable of through maggotts and becketts section. You also can see the cars through Village as well from here. And there is a large screen in view. If you get a weekend ticket you will be able to go in other grand stands of equal or less grading on the friday and saturday. Or Village A and B offer a good view.

Just looked at the ticket prices though! Pretty sure Becketts has gone up over £100 from when i went 2 years ago! Le Mans including transport is probably much cheaper!

Thanks RJB - it is daft money isn't it, but I promised my daughter. In fact I promised her this year & then booked Le Mans Classic without realising it was on the same w/e!

With regards to the stands I was considering Village, right accross from Beckets but it's another good option.

If i had the money to spare i'd go for club or becketts.

Fri/sat you can sit in any grandstand regardless of where your seat is sunday.

We had tickets this year for old pit straight and sat in club,becketts, farm and luffield over the weekend.

If 20 people reply to this topic you will generally get 20 different "best" options.

If in Village B make sure you have seat 135 in any row, that way you can see the cars go up Wellington Straight Also. TV's aren't that much use unless you have binoculars. Club will give a view of Club, Pit Straights, and Podium, and TV.

Indeed, the increase this year means I'll be watching the British GP next year at home

Thanks all for your thoughts. Have eventually gone and booked Becketts and the 'lively' camping too. Never mind about the seat - I'll be happy if there's no mud...

Pretty sure you'll be happy with becketts, start praying for sun now.

Depends on what you want to see. If its celebs / the drivers and cars, up close, and the grid walk. Then go for international pit straight. If you want to see an F1 car doing stuff that looks physically impossible, go for maggots / Beckets. If you want to see the cars flat out, go for Hangar straight or Stowe. If you just want somewhere to sit, go for village.

Now as everyone will say, use the Friday and Saturday to walk around and sit in all the other grandstands.

Hopefully get a chance to sample some of those during qualy & the practice sessions
