I would say steer away from co-op fps if you;re a noob as despite how good we PHers are at BF3 MW3 etc ( and believe me there are some effin superb players on our side) for a noob going in now to full blown BF3 you will spend most of your time shouting and screaming at the tv..

words to the effect of

" I fking shot you first you "
"where the fk did that come from!!!!????"
"jesus christ, let me respawn for fks sake"

+ various other expletives deleted...if you're experienced FPS games, jump on in BF3 can be found for £20 these days. (and is sooo much better than COD or MW3).

red dead is a cool game but a bit slow at first
I've just completed Mass Effect 3 - which combines decent enough FPS game play with a story and some consequences to your decisions.

havn't played uncharted 3 yet.

assasins creed always good fun and looks stunning...
