I have to get up early tomorrow. I was about to turn off the light and go to sleep when a spider decided to climb into bed with me.

I'm not normally squeamish about spiders, but I'm not a fan of the ones with really long legs that move quickly, and especially when they are in my bed. I flicked it off the bed out into the corridor. I was about to turn off the light again when I saw it scurry back into the room and start climbing up the side of my bed again.

I got a deodorant can lid and a bit of paper, and firmly escorted the spider out through the bedroom window. But now I can't get to sleep. Bloody spider.

You think you can't sleep? How do you think Mr Spider felt after being unceremoniously unwelcomed in your bed.
Be certain he has spent the night plotting his revenge and will deal with you accordingly and when you least expect it.

Exactly, how would you feel after being turfed out of a warm bed and outside into the cold?

Poor thing.

I'm pretty sure what I did last night to get away from the spider in my room could be classed as parkour.

I love spider threads. Isn't getting into mating season for the spids now, pretty sure late summer is like festival season for arachnids.

My wife and twin teenage daughters are terrified of spiders, I've had screams in the middle of the night with one girl running in to our room and me jumping out of bed in full Chuck Norris mode ready for a fight only to find a spider in the corner of their bedroom....

I've been working away for the last year so had to source and buy an extension for our Dyson specifically to catch spiders so the wife can stand in the next bloody county and hoover it up. The hoover is then placed in the shed until I come home and empty "just in case" the spider survied....

I'm fine with spiders but they don't have make my life difficult!
