I'm thinking of going to the East Coast of Canada next year and wondered if anybody else has done this?

Looking for ideas, places to visit and things to do?

Spent a week in Halifax. One of the most chilled weeks I've ever spent.

We visit Nova Scotia every couple of years (my wife is from Halifax) and it`s brilliant.

There`s plenty to do throughout the province, beaches, nice fishing villages etc. The scenery on Cape Breton is stunning. Prince Edward Island is only a short drive (or ferry trip, depending on which way you go).

You can fly direct to Halifax from Heathrow (Air Canada) or from Gatwick (Canadian Affair) in about 5.5 hours.

As the poster above said, the province has a nice relaxed attitude to life. I love it.
