Coil change problem
Discussion
Didn't have to but I had a spare (brand new) coil so I changed it last night, on the offchance this may help some of the other running/stalling issues I'm getting. It was a brand new Bosch coil with the same part number as the existing coil. Connected it all up, put the earth lead back on teh bayttery and started it up but ran like a dog - rough and overfuelling, wouldn't hold idle speed, so swapped it back. Why would it do this???
I'm sure this car is jinxed as everything I try to improve its just makes the siutuation worse!!!!!

Maybe running Roverguage and a read of the applicable parts of this might help:

Remember to take into account the TVR tweaks!
Good luck.

If you get any ignition issues it's always worth checking the low tension wiring, particularly near the amp.Ive seen this chaffed and shorting a few times now and it will cause running issues obviously. Could you have disturbed thi?
.
Also where the wires exit the dizzy body , seen these crumbly and wiring exposed, years of heat exposure not helping.Gassing Station | Griffith | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
