And your opinion on them? I don't think I've ever seen so many new cars within a single month.

Do like:

Vauxhall Astra VXR - I always liked the old ones, but perhaps a bit chavtastic with their looks. This new one however looks so much more mature, really smooth lines. It could be driven by a teenager with too much money or a CEO in a suit. I would change the wheels... but apart from that it looked stunning in blue.

Peugeot 208 - What a step up from the boring as hell 207, really nice little touches all over this car. Doesn't 'stand out' that much perhaps, but in some ways I think that's better, you have to look for the details. Really hope they release a GTi, it could look great.

Not sure:

VW Beetle - Well, I never thought the Beetle was for me, but I must admit the new version does look a lot sleeker. I'm sure I'll soon get bored of it when it's everywhere though.

Don't like:

Toyota GT86 - Sorry guys, just doens't work for me. No road presence, and I saw a couple in the burnt orange colour... and it's just disgusting. I'm sure it's a great car, but I don't see why anyone would choose one over a 370Z, albeit being more expensive I'm sure. Still interested in seeing the BRZ though, it could look a lot better in WR Blue I think, and I've always have a soft spot for Subaru's.

Toyota Yaris - Saw my first one yesterday and at first I wasn't sure. But by the time the traffic move on, I realised it doens't look as good as the original Yaris in T-Sport specification!

Neither did I until I was at a dealer with my mate sorting a fault with his car out and I went to look at the 640d in the showroom and opened a back door... Do like.

You talkin about the 5 Series GT? Came out shortly before the F10 5 Series ...

Genuine surprise - the Vauxhall Ampera.

I must admit I'm a big fan of this car but I feared its sales wouldn't really take off, and while I don't think the Passat's got anything to worry about, I've seen a fair few, and it's the first 'ordinary' car that seems genuinely futuristic in years. The previous-generation Honda Civic was the last car to do that, before you're looking at the first-generation Honda Insight, but the Ampera is a breath of fresh air in that it's far closer to the kind of car sci-fi films made in the early '80s thought we'd be driving by now. Taking those films into account, the fact that so many people feel compelled to drive SUVs is positively depressing.

Ah kk.

Hmmm ... yeah its ... not bad. Had a closer look at a new 6 in the showroom three weeks ago. Looks a bit .. samey .. to me. Not at all unique.

Big fan of the last model 6 series - looked like nothing else on the road. Total marmite car that, like most of Bangle's designs.

No it was the 6 Series one, shown above. Did like it and I'm not a fan at all of the 6 Series.

Only seen one of those 5 Series GTs and yeah, totally agree with you. smile

A 'Renault Wind'.

Never heard of it, and wish I hadn't seen it. Nasty.

I've been in one, should be called 'Wheezy' could barely get a small incline due to a lack of power!

Quite a few round here, look like a really nice, sporty little car.

I will admit to only seeing the back of it, but it was a mess. The front might be a bit more dignified, I dunno.

It looks like a cross between an Audi TT and a Nissan Micra

Saw a DS5 yesterday. I'm not sure as there's so much detail/ extra chrome parts, but then so does an old DS and I like them. Maybe it'll mature on me. But the main problem once again is I can quite blatantly see the real exhausts through the fake pieces of chrome.

Hate it when they do this but lots are unfortunately

They then go on about efficiency and oooohhh we saved 'x' kilos on this model........well yes but if you got rid of the fake exhaust trims and other stick on st then it would be lighter still. Oh well
