Always was keen Rich, great looking car inside and out - probably the closest thing to a Griff out there. it was a choice between that and a 2 yr old Tuscan S...

So, who was in the Griff and who was in the Marcos then?
Was the TSO fitted with the LS1 though? They are also available with the 500 V8 as in the Griff.

What would be an interesting comparison is the TS500 against the Griff. It has Marcos's interpretation of the same engine and looks very impressive.

It was on the Fosseway probably on the way to Kenilworth. The TSO was fitted with an LS1 of the lower engine spec option. I wasn't driving it (as if they'd let me drive, lol) but I do have a test drive booked
I think Shaun from the factory was taking it up to Pro-Drive for chassis design work. The big cheese, Mr TSO was also in it and I think he took a photograph of the Griff so I may get a reg number.
I heard it was quite a spirited bit of driving by all accounts, sounded like some fun was had

David I didn't realise what your post meant. Was it you then? I'll find out if it was Saturday lunchtime but would imagine you know what the TSO looks like.

The Griff overtook an Avensis that was out filming the TSO. The Griff pulled in between the Avensis and TSO and later the Griff pulled into a pub car park. The TSO out that day has done some 500 odd miles now so they are starting to give it some throttle.

Twas me, on my way to lunch. I did get past the TSO but it wasnt exactly hard, he pulled in after overtaking and i poppped past. If they were filming i hope they didnt get the bit where i backed off coming up to traffic and a 50 limit. Im no prude and indeed enjoy a tussle but not in a 50 with a camera(plods) pointing at me and i certainly would never over take on double whites, several times. Sorry not say it was a great tussle and TVR got their ass tanned.Friends lost on here me thinks.

Did you go racing with an MG V8 a few years back?
Theres not many "Beers" around but it wasnt me in the MG V8. Maybe a relation though, i will ask my folks.
I must say the TSO looked mighty impressive and sounded loverly(if a bit quiet). Now if it had been a few miles up the road where the road looses its 50, maybe we could of seen how things compared.

Cheers David. The Beer I met used to race the MG against Mick Richards (another friend) who used to have a quick racing TR4 before I got him into racing an even quicker TR8. The TR8 still holds many records and was onlt 1 second slower then an ultima around mallory park (not the best track for an ultima I'll add) but gives an idea how good the TR was. I think David Beer had a garage in your neck of the woods.
