997 turbo - capristo exhaust
Discussion
Hi, fairly new here and looking for a bit of advice please
I'll probably explain this really badly but here goes. While I am driving I like listening to the car and what it is telling me about where it is in the rev range / when its time to change up a gear etc. I'm not really getting enough of that with the standard set-up. I'm not trying to replicate a n/a sound, just trying to improve what is already an engaging drive.
So, done some research and like the look of the Capristo switchable exhaust.
I have various audio clips of the Capristo but always from outside the car so interested to hear about people's experiences inside the cabin?
Also is it worth re-mapping at the same time?
Cheers

Give Nine excellence (9E) a call. They had a customer car in with a Capristo recently so don't know if they have any clips. I know from chatting to them that the problem with the exhaust is that the tips don't fit well, so you have to remove the surround - not sure if there was a solution to that.I'll probably explain this really badly but here goes. They just released their own switchable exhausts for both 996 and 997 Turbo. If their tuning is to judge by, then their exhausts will be spot on. Think they are going to be around the £3k-£3.5k mark and I have one on order already.
I have a 9E800 car based on 996 turbo, but they just finished a 997 turbo with hybrids project, but they do lots of just remaps for 997 turbos etc.
I'm the person with the 997 Turbo with Capristo exhaust which was at 9E recently. The sound is really nice, fairly quiet with the valves closed, then a purposeful growl when they open. There are a couple of clips over on YouTube, but to be honest, they don't do it justice.
Re the tips, there are about four different types you can order, the ones I chose require the black trims to be removed as they follow the shape of the aperture.
The 200 cell sport cats are of high quality, the turbos do spool up quicker and no CEL.
