Luxury Barge

Anyone got any ideas?

I have set budget of about 7000 / 8000.

Usual suspects seem to be

Merc E or S
BMW 5 or 7
VW Phaeton

Am I missing any obvious ( or not so obvious ) choices?

That's a beauty. Seems a lot of A8s so plenty of choice.

Forgot about the Range Rover even though I've had one before.

The only luxury barge that still comfortable has to be an Jaguar XJ, the rest are all a bit try hard sporty

Seems my budget just needs stretched slightly for a Merc CLS.

A8 has air suspension as does the Range Rover and the XJ.

For an A8 i'm looking for around £5-6K for the L322 £7-8K and the Jaguar has very little interior space for me.
