Vantage front LED failed, advice?

I'm new to these cars although my AM owning neighbour assured me that when they go wrong it's called "character." I noted that the passenger side LED strip in the front light had failed when I took the Vantage out for some fresh air this evening. My question is does this mean a trip back to the dealer or are there simple checks that I can do?

Any thoughts appreciated.

Probably the unit has failed. Only solution will be to replace the whole headlight unit. Won't be cheap.

eHopefully you are on the full AM warranty? 3 years old, so won't have to argue what is covered.

Just had mine changed under warranty (5 years old). I can't see any argument as its surely safety critical.

I think some people have had a go (with varying degrees of success) at replacing the voltage regulators to get the LEDs going again. Can't remember if they had any success. I would certainly have mine in bits to try and fix if this happens to me.

Otherwise it's a new headlight job, I'm afraid. astonmartinbits.com might have one.

Just a couple of the LEDs stopped working on mine, but AM replaced the whole unit under extended warranty, so you've got nothing to worry about

A completely new light unit is being fitted tomorrow by HWM. Thank heaven for the warranty!

I'm sure HWM will do it properly anyway, but just in case make sure you closely compare the LEDs output on both headlights. The tone of the LED output changed at some point (IIRC) and you don't want mismatched lights!
