Cats - Spot on treatments
Discussion
Last week was time to re-worm the moggy. The vet recommended the ProFender spot on treatment this time, rather than the usual Mirbilax(?) tablet that she's had for the past few years.
Applying it was dead easy, much more so than trying to force the tablet down her neck (a process that usually involves me shedding some blood!)
Trouble is, it's now managed to collect all sorts of dust and crap as she's been out and about and she's not happy about it
I rang the vets and asked how long to leave it before combing it out, but they were a bit vague and didn't sound overly confident in their answer.
I assume these things work by the drugs being absorbed through the skin, so anyone got any idea how long it takes for the absorption to take place?
Cheers.

I'm sure the label says 24 hours for absorption. Our two were 'supposed' to be kept separate so they didn't groom each other; they managed about 20 minutes before a joint bid for freedom was successful.bigandclever said:

Thanks. It'd be helpful if we actually got the full packaging. The surgery helpfully just put the blister pack into an envelope Gassing Station | All Creatures Great & Small | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
