my tam has never shown over about 94C on the water temp, even when in traffic in hot weather. recently though, in traffic it crept up to 100C at which point turning on the heater full blast has brought it down to 'safe' temperatures. the fans are working, coolant ok, so is the most likely culprit a thermostat jammed in a partially shut position?
Here you go lads may be a little help earlier post

Don't think its the weather, just done a 200mile road trip to Brighton and back, stuck on the M25 earlier in the traffic and it behaved itself all the time 94-88deg when stationary
